The subcontinent.com is the website of the SAPRA India Foundation, Greater Noida, India.
The SAPRA INDIA Foundation is a India based, non-profit, research organisation which focuses on national security,foreign relations, political risk, terrorism and related issues in the Asian context.
The purpose of this web site is to disseminate information about ourselves and our activities. The main aims of the Foundation are national security research and education. More details about our activities can be found in the About section of the web site. Our area of expertise is southern Asia.
We also maintain two other sections in the website, which are not directly connected with our activities. In the “other sections”, we have one set of links devoted to odds and ends from the Subcontinent and another that links to the 1971 India-Pakistan war site.

1971 War
On the 3rd of December 1971, the Pakistani Air Force (PAF) struck a number of Indian airfields in northern India. By midnight, India was officially at war with Pakistan. Two weeks later, the war was over. The Indian Army had overrun erstwhile East Pakistan (Bangladesh) and taken 93,000 POWs.
