Research is the primary activity of the Foundation. Education follows. Without research there cannot be any dissemination of knowledge. Thus research and education are two aspects of the knowledge process. The Foundation and its mentors have fixed certain core areas of research on which Foundation research staff concentrate. Some of our papers and documents are in the documents archives and can be searched using Google or browsed manually. We are continually adding documents in this section. We also look closely at events in our neighbourhood and particularly at what is happening in Central Asis and Afghanistan. Use the links below to browse the area studies section. Please bear in mind that all this is a work in progress and links at times might not work. Do alert us to any problem you might encounter while browsing.
Some areas of study:
* Central Asia - An area of vast potential dominating the heart of the Asian continent.
* Afghanistan - A troubled but strategically key country separating Southern from Central Asia.
* Pakistan - A key regional country that is trying to find internal equilibrium.
* India - The dominant southern Asian country.
* Nuclear - Issues related to the strategic aspects on nuclearisation in the region.
* Terrorism - A major regional problem and policy concern.
