
Mr. Goldsmith’s primary interest lies in the study of political risk as it relates to the private sector, both in India and worldwide. He maintains a strong interest in the Indo-U.S. relationship and its relation to geopolitics in the 21st century. Before traveling to India, he provided research and analysis for a business consultancy specializing in market and economic research, as well as due diligence, for a diverse array of international clients. His projects comprised a comparative analysis assignment for one of the largest global agricultural producers seeking to review its marketing strategy, and an arbitration case between two large multinational corporations among others.
Mr. Goldsmith holds a M.A. in International Relations from Boston University and a B.A. in Government with a minor concentration in Economics from the College of William and Mary. At these institutions he developed a strong theoretical background in politics, both domestic and international, as well as a solid knowledge of international economics. He maintains a lifelong interest in the French language, and has traveled in France extensively while finding time to visit several other EU countries along the way. He has traveled to most corners of the US, Canada, and has made multiple excursions to Mexico.
